EDITORS LETTER: THE MAY ISSUE

Hi Everyone!

Praises be to Allah that we have reached the blessed month of Ramadan. May Allah guide all of us upon the straight path of faith, and help us to be filled with patience, humility, and kindness.

From the days of Prophet Muhammad and his companions, to this day and age, Muslims look forward to Ramadan and prepare for it internally and externally!

Externally, a time for helping others who are less fortunate. focus on community, charity, fasting, and prayer. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was the most generous of people, and even more so during the month of Ramadan. Here are some ideas of what you can do this month to help those around you:

  • Help Those in Need: people who are suffering from illness, hunger, or desperation.
  • Volunteer Your Time: Find out what you can do to help your Community.
  • Pray for Others: take the time to pray for others , your family, your loved ones, those who are ill.

Internally, is a time of worship and purification The Holy Qur’an will be recited intensely. Ramadan is a time-challenge,Between work and prayer. On a personal level, I have spent too many Ramadans working hard on completing the Quran in a month, praying countless times, quitting every possible bad habit, and adding on numerous positive qualities.

O God, grant peace and blessings to our master Muhammad in a way to please You and to give him his due, to the number of the rewards for reciting the Qur’an’s letters during Ramadan, and to his Family and Companions. Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honor and Power; exalted above what they falsely ascribe to Him. Peace be upon the Messengers, and all praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. Ameen.

By presenting our 8th issue, we salute the sultan of the months with marhaban, ahlan wa sahlan. And Wishing you and your family the blessings of Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak !!
